Brief
This project was a journey to upgrade the baby stroller and create an embodiment of quality, comfort and affordability. It sought to address the needs and desires of parents, providing them with an exceptional tool to navigate their daily adventures with their little ones.
Wheels
For a city stroller with a slightly above-average budget, I recommend polyurethane wheels with spoke rims based on pneumatic wheelchair wheels, or polyurethane wheels with solid rims based on off-road roller wheels. The casters will have spikes for all-season use.
Original stroller wheels were 13 cm, but I increased them by 5 cm for comfort, making them mid-sized. After evaluating various tire designs, I chose the second wheel design for its superior problem-solving and advantages.
Handles
To create the handles, I focused on comfort. I found the most comfortable grip is with the hand going from the top down and slightly inward. Inspired by "bunny" vibrators, I designed a mechanism that adjusts and locks to the desired width without constant holding. After considering various handle shapes.
